Holland Happening April
Oak Harbor proudly presents Holland Happening, an annual three-day celebration, usually held in May that honors the unique Dutch Heritage of Oak Harbor. Info>>>
South Whidbey Acoustic Music Festival – June

Freeland – 3rd of July Fireworks and Fair
South Whidbey’s traditional All American 3rd of July features fireworks, food, live music, and fun for all ages.
Oak Harbor 4th OH July Fireworks, Fair, and Parade
Held annually in on the Oak Harbor waterfront, features rides, amusement park games, music, food, and fun for all ages. Info>>>
Maxwelton Beach Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show
Ever since 1915, the Maxwelton 4th of July has been an annual tradition on south Whidbey Island. It’s a low key but fun affair with lots of family entrants, tail wagging dogs, light costumes, old cars, and music. It usually attracts over 2,000 people, which is a big gathering for Whidbey! Located on south end of island.

Island Shakespeare Festival – July – September
July thru September – Island Shakespeare Festival is about people. Well, and Shakespeare. But also, artists, community, learning, connections, collaborations, music, art, life, the Pacific Northwest, and, oh, yeah, they truly believe that everyone should be able to see quality theatre. Old fashioned, family fun at your local small town fair. Food entertainment, exhibits and more. Info>>>
Wag’n’Walk – August
Wag’n’Walk is Western Washington’s premier celebration of dogs and things dog-related. It includes vendors, games, competition, demonstrations and the Wag’n’Walk itself. Located at Greenbank Farm Arts and Events Cemter, Greenbank. Info>>>
Jets Over Whidbey – August
Whidbey Island Radio Control Society invites the public to their 25th annual Jets Over Whidbey. This is the Pacific Northwest’s premier RC radio controlled jet aircraft event. Held annually on Whidbey Island, Washington. See pilots from all over the USA and Canada flying their scale jet powered aircraft. Located just a short drive north of the Seattle area in central Whidbey on HWY 20. There are plenty of local amenities and spectators are more than welcome. Free entry, Free parking, Dry camping for participants. See RC Jets from all over the country. Runs all weekend starting Friday at 2:00PM
Oak Harbor Music Festival -August-September
There are two main stages with 30 bands playing throughout this Whidbey Island Festival, featuring all musical genres. This is a major music festival that attracts people from all over the country. Things are only looking to get even bigger next year with more than 30 bands scheduled to perform. Info>>>
Tour de Whidbey – August
A bike race spanning the length of Whidbey Island.
Riders of the Tour de Whidbey will have multiple courses to pick from, each one having a hospitality station every at regular intervals.
- 100 mile route that is a figure-8 course, beginning and ending at Greenbank Farm. It is considered one of the more challenging century rides in the state.
- Two 50 mile routes, which offer riders a choice of enjoying Central/North or Central/South Whidbey Island sights and scenes. Either will give intermediate riders a workout.
- 40 mile and 30 mile South Whidbey routes that provide the same gorgeous scenery but with less elevation change.
- An easy, virtually flat 10 mile route winds through historic prairie, beach and farm lands west of the town of Coupeville.

Djangofest NW – September
The Annual DjangoFest Northwest welcomes a billing of master gypsy jazz artists.
Ten top acts will be performing over the five-day event, which includes numerous guitar and violin workshops that allow attendees to interact with the artists on a more intimate level.
DjangoFest Northwest is the premier showcase of gypsy jazz music in North America. Check out the full lineup on their website.

Penn Cove Mussel Festival – March
